2012 JOURNALISM FELLOWSHIP – SOUTHEAST ASIA

"Documenting threats to the rivers of Southeast Asia: Looking through the journalists’ lens"

Greetings from the Southeast Asian Press Alliance (SEAPA)!

We are now accepting applications to our 2012 Journalism Fellowship Programme. The programme, now in its 11th year, is open to nationals of Southeast Asian countries who are interested in exploring and producing in-depth stories on cross-border or regional issues on the theme of environmental protection, focusing on the rivers of Southeast Asia and the lives that depend on them.

SEAPA is a regional network of free expression groups campaigning for genuine press freedom in Southeast Asia. Established in Bangkok in November 1998, it aims to unite independent journalists’ and press-related organizations in the region into a force for advocacy and mutual protection.

Our program is unique as it is specially designed for the needs of journalists in the region – for journalists from Southeast Asia, with themes and field assignments within the region. Be part of the group that will have the opportunity to spend up to three weeks in another country in the region to explore the stories you want.
We look forward to you joining the community of 100 fellows who have joined our program since 2002!
